My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ginny - The Calico Charmer Ready to Steal Your Heart!

Ginny is a juvenile female calico kitten, showcasing a stunning coat of dilute colors that reflect her playful and vibrant personality. With a calm demeanor and a friendly disposition, Ginny is ready to become the beloved companion you've been searching for.

Ginny is often playful and very often calm and laid back, creating a delightful mix of energy and tranquility. She's never shy or fearful, always approaching new experiences with curiosity and confidence. While she is sometimes curious, her serene nature shines through, adding a touch of grace to her playful antics.

She hasn't been exposed to other animals yet in foster care, but Ginny has just moved to a foster home with cats and dogs, so we hope to have an update on that soon.

Ginny is a toy enthusiast, frequently chasing toys along the floor and occasionally engaging in play with toys that allow her to pounce. Her love for watching the world from the window reflects her curiosity about the world around her.

While she hasn't been exposed to children yet, Ginny is social and friendly with adults, whether known or strangers. She adores being handled and enjoys affectionate interactions with her human companions.

Ginny is now ready to embark on a new chapter in her life and find her forever family. If you're looking for a calico charmer who is playful, friendly, and ready to shower you with love, Ginny is the purrfect choice. Don't miss the chance to welcome this delightful companion into your home!

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue. Adoption events are held regularly in the community at Petco Winchester and some kittens are housed at the Petco in Warrenton. Additional events are held at area festivals, wineries, breweries, and parks. Approved adopters can schedule a private meet and greet with their chosen pet.

More about this rescue

Shady’s Paw Animal Rescue works to improve the lives of cats and the people who care for them in Lake Holiday and the surrounding areas through 1) TNR and colony management, 2) fostering and adoptions, 3) educating the public on best practices for feline care in the home or colony setting, and 4) supporting the needs of cats in the communities we serve.
