My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mother of Eggnog, Elf, Jovie, Cindy Lou Who, Gabriel, Tinsel, Ralphie, and Flurry

Meet Meira, the ultimate lap cat and a true feline hero! After her original caregiver passed away, Meira was left out on the street.  She found her way wandering in and out of the home of a Good Samaritan neighbor who ultimately contacted Texas CARES.  Meira has been safe in foster care but now eagerly awaits her own special family.

Meira is a seasoned purr professional with a down-to-earth demeanor. Meira spends half her time relaxing in her pink pig scratcher bed and the other half being a quiet house companion.  She will greet you with a bright meow and a quivering upright tail, eager to share her affectionate vibes.  She adores people, kids and the two small dogs in her foster home.

Meira’s favorite pastimes include playing with her track ball toy and playing with her catnip banana. Don't be surprised if she occasionally gets the zoomies – it's just Meira's way of letting loose and bringing humor into every day.

If you're looking for a low maintenance companion just looking to chill and enjoy the simple pleasures in life, Meira is the perfect match,

Meira is litterbox trained, microchipped, spayed and fully vaccinated.  If you're looking for a low maintenance companion to share the simple pleasure of life, Meira is your girl.  If you’d like to know more about Meira please inquire or submit an adoption application today!

NOTE: While young and in good health, Meira has tested FIV+.  This condition is not communicable to humans or other species.  When raised strictly indoors, FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives.
