My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caramel is an incredibly sweet senior who found himself at NYC ACC as a stray. At the shelter he quickly became a staff favorite and lived there as an office dog before coming into our rescue and going to foster care in Queens. He might be 11 years old but he still loves to play ball and go on walks, meeting people and other dogs.

Caramel is good with dogs and cats and really loves humans and snuggles. He does have some arthritis and but he won't let that stop him; he just needs to take supplements and NSAIDS for it.

He had a dental cleaning with 2 extractions at the end of February and is now ready to show off a great smile with good breath for lots of kisses for his new furever family.

Caramel is being fostered in Ridgewood, NY

Additional adoption info

we want to make sure that the pet and new family are the right fit to avoid the animal being surrendered again or getting passed on. To ensure this we ask questions on lifestyle (if adopter is very active or not), how much they are home, what other animals are in the home/on the property etc. We want to both the animal as well as the adopter be set up for success which is that both sides are happy and their needs are met.
