Bruce Bruce entered SPCA-LA as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on March 6th. He is 9 years old and weighs 10.5 lbs. Bruce Bruce is quiet, loves to snuggle, and gets along with all dogs! He is healthy, too!
Bruce Bruce went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home. He did so well that his Fling was extended to a month! His Fling Mom reports:
"Bruce Bruce was with us for a month, and he really blossomed. He is so good on his walks and loves to be outside in the sun with his foster sister.
Bruce Bruce had a dental with extractions. After, we administered his medication orally and he took it like a champ. He ate soft food and likes to have his human standing nearby him while he eats.
Bruce Bruce is potty trained and only pees and poops in the backyard and on his walks. Not one accident in the house! He can make it 8 hours overnight without having to go out.
Bruce is a mellow guy that loves to be loved. He would love a home where the human is home often and/or there is another dog present. When we have left him alonem we have seen him run around the house and whimper looking for us (via our security cameras) for up to one hour, and then he will finally lay down in his dog bed. He will need a family that can be patient with him.
Bruce is great with other dogs. He did great with our foster dog (another small dog) and with our friend's Great Dane! The only thing is, he will guard his food.
We took Bruce Bruce to a birthday party and he was an excellent guest. He was totally fine with a bunch of people (including kids) being present around him and petting him.
Bruce Bruce has been an excellent foster dog. He is very sweet and obedient. He is very loving and wants to ALWAYS be near his human and/or the other dog in the house.
Hopefully, someone will see how great he is soon!"
Bruce Bruce recently went to Las Vegas with the founders of FFF, and he earned rave reviews for being the best behaved boy everywhere they went, including their fancy hotel on the Strip!
Bruce Bruce is ready for his forever home! Does this sweet boy sound like a fit for your family?
Come meet Bruce Bruce at Open House on Saturday & Sunday 10:00-1:00!
