Wee Willy has an agenda, get snuggles, eat, sleep, get more snuggles. That's pretty much his schedule.. OH and find a warm sun spot to lay in. A warm soft bed or blanket is also the best. He loves his friendly little humans in the foster home. They are very quiet and gentle and respectuful of his tiny size.***Children and pets must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times***
Wee Willy needs a soft place to land for the rest of his life. We have had him to the vet and are planning a dental cleaning. He has had labs done and his results were very good. He seems healthy other than being thin, and needing his teeth cleaned. He will be a great little buddy for a person that wants company and can handle his needs as he he is a senior and he will need kindness and ongoing attention going forward.
Will is eligible for the Seniors for Seniors as well as the Pets for Vets discount for eligible adopters. We work with adpters when they are adopting special needs pets to make sure they have the resources for the pets for the pets lifespan. Willy's adoption fee is $325, he is small at about 4# and he is current on vaccines on heartworm

**If you are unable to pay the adoption fee ($250 and up), we are unable to place a dog in your care. Being unable to meet the financial obligations of pet care (recurrent or emergent) is one of many reasons why so many of these pets end up in rescue. It's not lack of love.**
We require an adoption application, and then we will check references. We also check with vets. If the person is not LOCAL then we will partner with a local animal control to complete a home visit.
There are adoption fees associated with the costs of veterinary care of the pet. We require an adoption contract to be signed to finalize the adoption process and we have an agreement that all our pets are to be Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. pets for LIFE. In other words, in the event that they can not stay in their adoptive home, they are not to be surrendered to another individual or rescue.

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. We believe that every Chihuahua deserves a loving home.
