Bodie and his bestie, Jessie are needing a new home. Their person has some life challenges that are keeping them from caring for these two pets to the best of their ability. In an effort to do the best for these 2, they are seeking a loving forever after for Jessie and Bodie. Look at these two! They are adorable and we want to be a part of making sure they get that secure happy forever after to give their person peace and to be sure Jessie and Bodie are cared for and loved.
The dogs are 6 year old chihuahua mixes. Littermates, both boys (neutered), Jessie & Bodie are up-to-date on all vaccines. They are reported to be good with kids and cats, no bite history, and have lived with a cat for several years. Both could use some encouragement and redirections with housetraining at their new home. Their person has been unable to get them in and out as they would like.
They are a bonded pair their adoption fee is $550 for the pair.

**If you are unable to pay the adoption fee ($250 and up), we are unable to place a dog in your care. Being unable to meet the financial obligations of pet care (recurrent or emergent) is one of many reasons why so many of these pets end up in rescue. It's not lack of love.**
We require an adoption application, and then we will check references. We also check with vets. If the person is not LOCAL then we will partner with a local animal control to complete a home visit.
There are adoption fees associated with the costs of veterinary care of the pet. We require an adoption contract to be signed to finalize the adoption process and we have an agreement that all our pets are to be Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. pets for LIFE. In other words, in the event that they can not stay in their adoptive home, they are not to be surrendered to another individual or rescue.

Chihuahua Rescue Indiana Inc. is a non profit, all volunteer rescue working with Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The pets are housed in individual volunteer foster homes, not kennels or shelters until they are adopted permanently. We get to know our animals and therefore can tell the potential adopter what the traits of the animal are and what home would be the best for the pet. We are dedicated to the adoption, education, rescue and transportation of the Chihuahua breed. We believe that every Chihuahua deserves a loving home.
