My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Madelina along with her siblings were found abandoned in a park. They were hungry, but very friendly and wanted to be rescued. They are sweet Catahoula/Lab Mixes ready for a family that wants a pet with energy and lots of love to give and receive. They should go to a home with a fenced yard or a dog park near to run off their energy. Their estimated date of birth is 8/24/23. Madelina weighed 3o pounds on 3/6. She will grow to be a medium to large dog.

HSPC's adoption fee is currently reduced from $100 to $75 unless stated otherwise within the pet's description. Every pet that is available for adoption has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including heartworm preventative (canines). Adopters are required to schedule a wellness exam with their veterinarian at their cost within 7 days of adoption. We are currently closed to the public and we will only respond to inquiries accompanying an application submitted through warmhearts.org/adopt.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
