My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Every dog has a particular job they are good doing.

Remi is one of these dogs. He was bred to compete in terrier trials. His parents were champions.

Remi is a working dog. His joy is lite coursing, steeple chase, barn hunt and other that use his particular prey drive he was born with

Because he is such a special guy he will need a home that has Jack Russell terrier experience. Know they can get them selves in big trouble if you are not in control of their need to hunt.

Remi in his past has done with with only one other dog and it was larger than he is. Smaller ones would not be safe with him.

We will be extra diligent in finding the perfect home  for him.

Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.

The application is the first step. Please complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/

More about this rescue

Russell Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization. It was started in 2008 by Mary Ruth Rogers of Columbia, TN. Our mission is to save and re-home unloved, abandoned and abused dogs, especially the Jack Russell terrier. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Tennessee, and other nearby states.
