My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tang recently came to ARC because his guardian could no longer care for him. The adjustment to ARC was not easy in the beginning for Tang. At first, he spent his time in the interior part of his house, on a window ledge where he could see everything going on and still feel safe. Recently, Tang has relaxed and is out mingling with the other cats and seeking attention and lap time from visitors and volunteers. Come meet Tang, and see for yourself what a great, loving addition he would make to almost any home.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
