Chatty Cathy isn't feeling so chatty these days. She's quite down, and wondering why she's here instead of in the only home she's ever know. Unfortunately, Cathy was given up due to her owner moving to a place where no pets were allowed. Cathy is 4 1/2 years old and she's lived in a good home since kittenhood so understandably, this is all a little confusing for her. She is sure doing her best to not let anything get her down though, and as soon as you pet her, Cathy just melts and soaks up all the attention you'll give her. She's very sweet, mellow, and mushy. Cathy's former family says that her favorite pastime is sitting in the window and watching the world go by. She loves people and she'll likely be fine with another easy-going cat. We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

The mission of the Associated Humane Societies, Inc., including Popcorn Park Zoo, is to consistently provide the highest quality of care to all animals, domestic and wildlife, including their rescue, housing, veterinary care, placement whenever possible, and when required, a peaceful end. It is also our mission to prevent cruelty to all animals, primarily in New Jersey, but also throughout the United States. This shall be done through direct intervention as well as the promotion of humane education regarding the proper care and treatment of animals at both public and private levels, thereby advancing the humane treatment of animals everywhere.
