My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hope is… so appropriately named. When you first meet Hope, she shows off her timid side, but only until she becomes comfortable. While she is timid at first meet, she is never mean.  With her ever wagging tail and happy dances, she will really steal your heart.  Hope has an inquisitive mind, ridiculously funny spirit and affectionate heart. Full of love for life, she is often a complete and total clown (you will forever have a smile on your face).  Once she settles in and unleashes her goofy, larger than life personality, you'll know you've hit the lottery with this girl.  Hope is a quiet girl in general - her foster has never heard her bark.  The only sound she has ever made is some quiet whining while crated if she needs to go to the bathroom.

So what is Hope made of?

Happy zoomies
Spin as fast as she can circles
Tossing her toys into the air
Back and belly scratches make her weak in the knees
Athleticism - girls got great muscles ♥
Short, stout and absolutely adorable
Affectionate with a gentle spirit

It’s easy to tell she is going to completely adore her ‘person’ and will truly love being a part of a family.

What is Hope working on?
Building additional confidence on leash and learning about new experiences (She only pulls when she is nervous of a loud noise (such as a bus going by) or is startled by something unexpected
Car rides are still a little scary for this compact little lady, so she’s getting extra practice while her foster family runs to activities

Great with dogs, children
Could be cat tested if needed
Fenced in yard not required
90% house trained
Crate trained (and quiet while crated)

More about this rescue

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
