My story

Beautiful, sweet, snuggle extraordinaire Fancy is still searching for her pawfect family

This beautiful girl came to our rescue having hard a rough start in life. Initially removed from a severe hoarding situation, she then found herself on the euthanasia list due to an overcrowded shelter. That’s when we stepped in.

Fancy has adjusted well to her foster family’s life indoors and is loved immensely for her calm, gentle and loving spirit.

She loves snuggling up on the couch for some belly rubs! She gets along exceedingly well with other dogs and would thrive best in a multi dog household where she can follow their lead and take comfort in their company.

It would be best for Fancy to have a fenced-in yard though it is not a requirement. When out for a walk, she would do best with a confident adopter who can continue to help her build confidence on leash. Loud sounds are at times overwhelming to her. City living would likely be overwhelming at this time. She has done well walking with direction on a short lead (with reassurance).

Fancy is an absolute doll and will definitely be the cherry on top for a lucky adopter. She will require patience and understanding but shows much promise.

1.
Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (If not already altered, a $100 deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $350

Seniors (7+ years old): $250
