My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Silhouette is a sweet kitten who likes to eat, play, and explore. Her favorite toys are springs, balls, play mice, and anything that swings from a rod. Always ready to play, Silhouette will spring into action with the first swing of the toy.

Silhouette was born to a homeless Mom and is still shy with strangers. Once she knows you, she greets you, rubs against your legs, and follows you. She is gaining trust and more confidence every day and is learning to enjoy petting. If you offer her treats, she will quickly become your best friend.

Before rescue, Silhouette suffered a severe right eye infection. As a result, the right eye is hazy and smaller. The experts at Animal Eye say the right eye is healed, she can see light, and no further treatment is needed. Fortunately, her left eye is normal. Limited vision in her right eye does not slow down this playful kitten.

Silhouette has good kitten manners, she uses scratchers, her litter box and likes other cats. She needs a quiet home without young children because she can become startled if grabbed. Silhouette, if surprised, can become defensive when approached from behind or her blind side. A quiet, patient home with daily loving interaction including playtime and treats will allow her amazing personality to blossom. If you are ready for a new companion, Silhouette could be the one.For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

More about this rescue

Purr Partners Feline Rescue is a 501(c)(3), no-kill, foster-based, all-volunteer organization dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens in Central North Carolina — incorporated in 2009 by two friends, four cats, and no budget. These two women realized the need for a "cat only" rescue that worked with rural shelters — where cats routinely lose their lives. Purr Partners was founded to save the lives of those most in jeopardy with little hope of survival. High-kill rural shelters became the focus for Purr Partners, and that is still true today. From those humble beginnings, the rescue has grown to over a hundred active volunteers and a budget of approximately $175,000. At any given time there are between 100 and 150 cats and kittens in foster care. We have saved the lives of over 3500 cats and are still growing!
