Teddy is serious about voicing her opinion and she does it quite often with her impressive vocal cords. She's a real chatterbox and you'll always know what's on her mind. She is gentle but needy. She needs laps and petting. She weighs 26 pounds and likes to lead the way and jump while on a leash. If she runs away while off leash, she'll come back if you call her. She'll need to stop "talking" to hear you though. She knows the sit, stay, come, no, shake and high five commands. She enjoys agility, running, and walks. Around other dogs she is easygoing, playful and dominant. You should consider bringing your dog to meet her. She wants to play with dogs she meets during walks and at the dog park but will bark at them first. She is used to children of all ages and is easygoing, friendly, jumpy, gentle, and sometimes afraid. She is house trained and used to being taken out every three hours. She spent her days either crated up to three hours or freely roaming the house. She was given up because of the new baby in the house. She got into trouble for jumping, racing out the door, and "talking" too much. Please offer this lovable social butterfly the home and family she needs. (tw 3/13/2024)

Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021.
