My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sesame!

This wonderful pup is around 1.5 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find his perfect fit. Sesame was surrendered to HSoP in search of a home that can better fit his needs. You see, Sesame is an incredibly active dog with lots of energy that needs somewhere to go. His previous owners feels that Sesame could benefit from a job to do, like hunting, and we completely agree! Sesame's quite the smart dog. He's eager to please his human friends and simply needs someone with the means to meet his physical and mental needs each day. If you're looking for a working or hunting dog, we encourage you to consider Sesame!

He has a tendency to jump on people, but responds well when firmly told "no". He sits on command (especially when treats are present), and would likely pick up on training in no time since he's such a smart pup. Sesame enjoys going on walks and would certainly benefit from an outdoorsy owner. If you're in need of an adventure dog, look no further! Sesame has the energy to keep up with you for miles and miles.

Sesame has spent time around children over the age of six and gotten along just fine with them. He's also done well around other large dogs, both male and female. We aren't sure how Sesame might behave around cats, and he doesn't have any prior exposure to them. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption, which helps to ensure a good fit for the whole family. As with all dog adoptions, Sesame will be required to meet any dogs in the home prior to leaving the shelter.

Those interested in getting to know Sesame should come visit him at HSoP! Our dog kennels are open from 1:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday. No appointment needed, just stop by when you have time! We're located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
