My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you love a package deal? Have you been searching for a way to help more than one soul that needs some extra love and patience? Woody and Buzz are the cutest dynamic duo around and are looking for a family to call their own! These boys are bonded and absolutely adore each other, but don't worry they also love affection from people and will eagerly jump into your lap for all the pets they can get.

* To help these boys find their furrever home together both of their adoption fees have been discounted to $265.00 each! *

~ Woody and Buzz are a little nervous especially in new environments and with new people. Their new family will have to work with them to show them the world doesn't always have to be so scary.
~ These boys are looking for a home that will give them lots of exercise and have space for them to play.
~ Due to them being under-socialized, nervous and at times vocal they are looking for a house rather than apartment.
~ They are looking for a family consisting of a single person, a couple, or a family with near adult age children.
~ Their new family will have to sign them up for in-person training sessions prior to going to their new home to work on their basic training, basic manners, socialization and build confidence/reduce anxieties.

Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed:
- High Energy
- Separation Anxiety
- Vocal
- Nervous/Shy
- Jumpy
- Mouthy
- Under-Socialized
- General Anxiety / High stress

Explanation of Behaviours:
- A young dog who is high energy (once comfortable) who will need a lot of time, attention, training, enrichment, and exercise daily to do well.
- He will need to continue to be socialized a lot in a safe and proper way to set him up for success in the future.
- He will need his adopters to work on difficult behaviours such as jumping up, mouthing, and work on his anxieties.
- He has shown signs of separation anxiety & generalized anxiety; as a result, he can be vocal at times
- Buzz is bonded with Woody and they will need to go home together to set them both up for the most successful transition.

This dog would benefit from:
- Active home
- Adult only home or family with near adult age children
- No apartments
- Lots of training and socialization
- Lots of time and attention

Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog:
Basic Training
- Basic Manners
- Work on difficult behaviours such as jumping, mouthing, nervousness, and anxieties (Separation and Generalized)
- Socialization for both dogs together and independently

**For more information on any behavior's stated above, please check out our behavior fact
sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions

**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet
and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means
they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
