My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nigel here reporting for duty, and I'm on the hunt for the perfect forever family to call my own. If you are looking for a great combination of adventure buddy and goofy oversized lap dog than I am definitely your pup! I love to go for long walks and play outside but I'm also happy to curl up with my favorite humans for belly rubs and cuddles.

· Nigel is a young dog who is high energy and will need a lot of time, attention, training, enrichment, and exercise daily to do well.
· He will need to socialized a lot in a safe and positive way to help set him up for success in the future.
· He will need his adopters to work with him on his manners and self control including difficult behaviours like jumping up, mouthing, and being pushy with interactions ( I cant help it, I just reeeally want your attention!)
· He has shown reactivity while in our care (specifically noted while he is behind a barrier). As a result, he can be vocal at times.

Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed:
- Vocal
- High Energy

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
