My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Move over Thor – meet his adorable brother!

Meet Baldur! Baldur is located in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.)

Baldur is a puppy from our Norse Mythology litter. In myths, Baldur was a son of Odin and brother to Thor. He was a god known for his beauty, peaceful nature, and considered the wisest of the gods. Our Baldur is super cute, loves to chill with you, and um, has typical puppy smarts. Did we mention how cute he is? Those ears – adorable!

Baldur is one of eight siblings, and he relishes the company of the other dogs and kids in his foster home. This guy is friendly, cuddly, and playful – Baldur is a little social butterfly, and he is thrilled to be the center of your attention. He will romp and play but what he really wants to do is snuggle with you on the couch. Baldur appreciates quality companionship (as well as body heat – it was a lot warmer in Texas!).

Baldur is food motivated and quick to learn. He is crate trained and progressing well through his potty training. He has begun leash training and will be starting obedience training shortly (his love for treats will make him a fast learner!).

His ideal home? Baldur’s needs are simple - a family to love and cherish him, to give him affection, and to ensure he learns the skills that will make him a well-rounded and happy dog. Kids and other dogs to play with would be a bonus. And he’d never turn down a treat …

Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue

  • At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. We are primarily a volunteer organization that focuses on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.

  • Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.

  • Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.

  • We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.

  • Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.

  • Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.
