Meet Daniya, a remarkable dog whose journey began as one of the 101 fortunate dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Siheung, Korea, in May 2022. After being rescued, he resided with other dogs at our partner boarding house and successfully completed training programs at a dog school in Korea, mastering basic etiquette and leash skills.
Daniya arrived in Toronto on February 9th and has since been living with a foster family in Mississauga, alongside a senior dog. He has quickly proven himself to be a smart and wonderful companion, seamlessly transitioning into his new environment. Daniya showcases full house training, exhibits no destructive tendencies, remains very quiet indoors, and sleeps through the night. He has also learned to use stairs and acquaint himself with the neighborhood. Furthermore, he respects his senior foster brother, displaying gentleness and understanding boundaries.
Despite initial nervousness upon arrival, Daniya finds comfort on his bed, gradually overcoming his fears over time. Daniya is very quiet; in fact, the foster said they have never heard him bark. He showcases a sweet and non-aggressive demeanor towards both people and other dogs. His love for walks and friendly interactions with people and other dogs underscores his sociable nature.
Ideally, Daniya would thrive in a home where someone is frequently present, such as a remote worker or retiree, enabling ample quality time together. Additionally, having another calm and friendly dog companion would further enhance Daniya's happiness, as he enjoys the company of fellow canines. An adopter with dog experience who can dedicate plenty of time to play with him would be the ideal match for Daniya.
