Kai is very adaptable and adjusts herself to fit the situation. Her finders said she loves being with company and matches the energy of the family. What a good girl! She stayed with them for two weeks and they learned that she is a social butterfly who doesn't like being alone. She weighs 48 pounds and is moderately active. She enjoys fetch and toys but not car rides. She is well behaved on a leash but jumps up when she wants to be close. She is still working on house training and was allowed to have free roam of the house. She is easygoing, friendly, and playful with other dogs and teenagers. She is affectionate and loves being petted. She is gentle, mellow, curious, tolerant, submissive and quiet. Sometimes she is calm and other times she is excitable. Please offer lovable Kai the home and family she deserves. (tw 4/9/2024)
Foster notes:
Kai is sweet, affectionate, shy and timid. Her foster family saw the same behaviors that her stray finder did. Her foster thinks that she likely lived outside in her early years and didn't really get a chance to learn house-training or crate-training, so her adopter should stay patient with her to complete the training. However, Kai showed big improvement in both areas during her stay with the foster. She had free roam of the house and slept on her bed in the main bedroom. She got along well with other dogs at home but will not be comfortable with dominant dogs. She walks well on leash and has moderate energy. She is calm and easygoing for a young German Shepherd mix and will fit with any household. Her favorite activities are catching insects in the grass and hugging her humans. Please give her a chance to meet your family. You'll like what you see. Her foster, Ram can be contacted at CAPdogfoster@gmail.com or (281) 202-9076 for additional details. (rr 5/13/24)
