My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Larry (larryburghdorf84@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

I was a bottle baby and my foster mom said I never walked but always ran, that is why they call me Runner.  I was adopted out but for some reason I was found outside.   The good Samaritan who found me got me to St. Francis Rescue.   My foster dad has been taking real good care of me and because I was limping, they took me to a specialist.  I was diagnosed with a bone fragment that was impinging on my knee so they removed it.  I understand humans have the same problem.  I am now able to run, though not as fast but the most important thing is, I can now do biscuits on my foster dads lap.  Boy did I miss doing that.  I am now the official foster room greeter.  If you come into the foster room I will let you know that you need to say hi to me and pet me, you see I love everyone.  If you are looking for a cat that will not hide when family or friends come over, I am your boy.  If you are looking for someone to snuggle and make biscuits, again I am your boy.

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.
