My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Meet Roger: The Cheekiest, Cutest, Cuddle Machine You'll Ever Meet!"

Hi, I'm Roger! I may be a cat, but I've got a purr-fectly adorable set of chipmunk cheeks that will make your heart melt. At 3 years old and weighing only 11 pounds, I may be small, but I've got a lot of love to give.

I came to my rescue pals as a stray, but luckily, they brought me to Sedona where I've been waiting patiently for my forever home. They say I'm a Domestic Shorthair, but personally, I think I'm just a solid and handsome mix of cuteness.

My activity level is pretty chill, and I'm happy to just cuddle up with you all day long. I'm a huge lap animal and love getting attention from my humans. I'm also super friendly and sociable - just ask anyone who's met me. I am selective with cats, however.

My personality is the best part, if I do say so myself. I'm devoted, easygoing, and gentle - basically, the perfect companion. You'll never hear a peep out of me, but I'll always be up for a good snuggle session.

So, what do you say? Wanna meet in person and see if we're the paw-fect match? Come on down to the shelter and ask for Roger - I'll be waiting with my cutest cheeks and cuddliest self.

I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
