My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We found Honeycake in the middle of a busy intersection during rush hour. It was clear she had been through a lot. She was fearful of humans at first but is learning to trust. She is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet!

Honeycake is the definition of calm, cool, and collected. She’s a peaceful girl and really loves car rides and walks. She always gets excited when you pull out her harness and leash. She likes other dogs and is good with children, preferably those on the calmer side. She loves treats and is still learning how to play with toys. She’s very alert but relatively quiet and rarely barks.

Honeycake is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. We will cover the cost of this but hope to have her rehomed by summer; we cannot keep her too long due to personal circumstances. She has received all of her vaccines and is on proper preventatives, and will be spayed and chipped prior to adoption. During her spay surgery there will be x-rays taken for a limp that she’s had which is suspected to be from arthritis. The radiographs will confirm if it is hip arthritis. Thankfully her leg is already doing much better. She will also have her ears flushed and cleaned while under anesthesia as part of treatment for chronic ear infections she was experiencing. After this, she will have a clean bill of health.
