My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about Bo or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to Jennifer.wheeland@gmail.com

We found Bo trying to cross Beltway 8 near the Greenspoint exit. He didn’t have a collar or microchip, but he is a sweet little goober and you could tell he had a family. We posted him on all of the ‘found animal’ sites I could find, with no luck. We already have 4 animals in the house so are unable to keep him.

We have not introduced Bo to our animals because our older dog is reactive and our younger dog is very protective of her and we didn’t have to have a bad situation on our hands. I have been calling him Bo (short for Bilbo, because he was going on an adventure!) and we have taught him to sit (stay is a little shaky, but he’s getting it), walk on a leash and to catch.

Bo really is the sweetest cuddliest boy and would make a very good family dog for someone. Some people might be turned off by his size, but he has been nothing but a gentle giant in our experience with him. Full disclosure: he can jump very high and climb fences. He hasn’t tried to do that since about his second day here. I think it was just a response to being in a new situation that he was confused by; but it’s something I would want a heads up about, so heads up!
