My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Gambril! At just 5 months old, I'm a lively lab mix with a penchant for adventure and play. Currently tipping the scales at around 40 pounds, my foster mom tells me I've got some impressive paws, promising that I'll grow into a fine, sturdy adult.

Under her guidance, I'm mastering the art of being a well-mannered house dog. I've got the hang of using a dog door and am pretty reliable with potty breaks. Sitting? Check. Now, I'm honing my skills in staying put and lying down. Admittedly, I can get a tad overenthusiastic when meeting new folks, but I'm learning the ropes of managing my excitement.

Like any typical lab, I thrive on chew toys to keep me occupied. But fear not, I haven't turned any furniture, clothes, or shoes into chew toys—my foster mom beams proudly at this accomplishment! While I'm working on managing my separation anxiety, I truly shine when I'm alongside a furry friend. I haven't met a dog I didn't adore yet!

A backyard is a must-have for me, where I can stretch my legs with my new family. I live for the thrill of running and playing, so an active household would be perfect to channel my puppy energy positively.

My foster mom insists I'd make an excellent hiking buddy or even a trusty hunting companion. Although I haven't dipped my paws into swimming yet, my webbed feet hint at my potential to become a skilled swimmer with the right encouragement.

Are you ready for a new life of fun and loving kisses with me? Please contact my foster mom at TRACYBERTLESMAN@GMAIL.COM to fill out an adoption application. Thank you for opening up your home and your heart to a rescue puppy like me.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.

Go meet their pets

We do not own a kennel / shelter type facility. In most cases, we believe one of the effective and successful ways to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows us to help train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows us to learn about the dog's personality and character. Ultimately allowing us to give potential adopters complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. Unfortunately, when we are not able to find the most appropriate foster home, we will on occasion utilize a private kennel on a case by case basis.
