My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dobby!
Dobby is a resilient, quirky, and endlessly lovable pup who is ready to find her forever family. She currently lives in foster care with dogs and cats and does well with adult dogs and calm feline friends. She has also lived with an older child and done beautifully, so a home with respectful kids 12+ could be a great fit.

Dobby was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, but that hasn’t stopped her from living a joyful life. She takes daily medications to help manage her condition and behaviors, and the APA! Clinic will provide ongoing support for her care. Her neurodivergent brain just means she experiences the world a little differently—sometimes she circles when excited, or creates her own “party” at home, but in stimulating environments like events, coffee shops, or outings, she shines. In fact, she’s been described as a natural mascot or greeter, happily lounging on her blanket and soaking up attention from everyone she meets.

This goofy girl is a puzzle-toy master, a plushie collector (her beloved “Kevin Kraken” is never far away), and a champion at making people smile. She’s crate trained, enjoys her routine, and is affectionate in her own special way—think kisses, gentle lap-leans, and asking for a good nighttime rub-down.

Dobby’s ideal home would be with patient adopters who understand her unique needs, enjoy bringing their dog along to dog-friendly outings, and can provide plenty of love, stimulation, and structure. She would thrive as the star of the household, or with another calm adult dog or cat who respects her space.

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind companion with personality, heart, and resilience, Dobby may just be your perfect match.
