You don't have to look to the skies to find this Zeus! While he's no Greek deity, this sweet, friendly, smart and handsome boy will quickly rule your heart and love you with the might of a thousand thunderbolts.
However, 3-year-old Zeus may in fact be immortal - he's been hit by a car twice resulting in thousands of dollars in surgery! He doesn't seem to be in any pain, and loves to go for walks, run in the yard and chase after birds. But, because of this, young kids who may plop down on him or accidentally hurt him wouldn't be the best fit. Everyone else is fair game, though, because Zeus loves people even more than he loves squeaky toys. He's also a smart cookie who knows basic commands. He seems to be playful with other dogs, but he'd appreciate a meet and greet with any potential dog siblings. We don't think he's had much exposure to cats. Zeus is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
