Pebble came to us with his Mom and siblings March 14, 2023 from a small rescue that was overwhelmed. This litter was a little more work to bring around and feel comfortable with people, but Pebble has managed this very well. He is a sweet cat that loves to be pet and play. Enjoying treats that you hand feed is always fun for all. Pebble has a unique coloring of grey tabby around his head and lower legs but butterscotch in the majority of his body. Such a beautiful boy!
Pebbles' sibling, River developed a condition called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). FIP can present itself within the same litter and we need adopters to be aware of the slight possibility of Pebble acquiring FIP. FIP is a condition that creates fluid in the abdomen and is fatal to cats. Luckily Pebbles brother, River was enrolled in the FIP study program and went through 84 days receiving daily GS pills and then 90 days receiving Mefloquine pills. We are thrilled to say that River survived his FIP diagnosis and is now a "FIP Survivor". The FIP treatment cost approximately $3,000.00. While River is cured now, he may or may not relapse but he is doing great so far. It is for this reason that we require a very strong vet relationship with a healthy cushion for vet related expenses.
