Meet BOLT - Paws Behind Bars Trained
BOLT is a 5-year-old male, Husky mix who weighs 45 lbs. And yes, he has one brown eye and one blue eye. It was easy for most to walk by him in the shelter; his energy lever was not compatible with a kennel run. When we pulled him and gave him exercise, wow, what a gem!
Bolt's temperament is excellent, and with energy looking for a job to do, he was the perfect dog for our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, he's received obedience training and the proper amount of exercise (a critical consideration for anyone interested in Huskies). We are also getting a much better glimpse of his personality. These dogs live with their inmate 24/7. The one-on-one attention goes a long way to helping us tell the adopter just what to expect. Bolt's new owner must enjoy a "talker," because Bolt has a lot to say about everything! Not a bark, not a howl, just a lot of jibber jabber! He is a very loyal dog and will bond closely with his owner.
Bolt is just graduating from the program and is available for adoption now.
Our adoption process begins with submission of OUR application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there, too.
Thank you!
