Merlin was surrendered to Famous Fido Rescue by his former guardian who was moving and didn’t want to take him with. He was very heartbroken to be left behind. Merlin is such a sweet little guy, and loves getting cozy in a lap, and sunbathing outside. He’s very affectionate, and is lost without anyone to give his affection to.

Famous Fido was founded by Gloria Lissner who has been independently rescuing dogs from the death rows of kill shelters since 1975. She officially opened Famous Fido Rescue & Adoption Alliance in July 2010. All our dogs recieve the necessary vet care and treatment is never refused. Famous Fido has developed a full merchandise line, starting with our all natural dog treats to support our rescue efforts. Our products are available for purchase on our website. The mission of FFRAA is to form an alliance with similar organizations to increase community awareness, public consciences and create a No Kill Nation.
