My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milton, a 2-3 year old stray dog who can't get enough love! Milton is a well adjusted lil guy who is a staff and volunteer favorite at the shelter, very trusting and loving despite prior abandonment. He's well behaved around dogs, cats, and children, and greets new people with his handsome big smile and wiggly butt and tail.

Milton loves hikes, is good in the bath, and enjoys playing with his favorite rope toys. He's a chunky guy who loves his food, but loves human affection more, and can't wait to meet his new family.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

More about this rescue

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
