Smokey is a handsome man with a heartwarming smile! At 4 years old, he still is young with good energy, but has the manners of a well trained adult. He is gentle and polite with amazing leash skills, even temperament and a calm demeanor. Smokey was surrendered by his family where he lived with other dogs, but does best with calm dogs his own size. He would be incredibly happy as your only pet so he can be the center of your attention.

Kids 12+, no cats or small dogs.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
