My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous boy, Blaze, was groomed today and he is now ready for adoption!! Blaze was found as a stray in Speedway with significant matting in his coat.

Blaze lives with other dogs and gets along with them very well. He has no food, toy, or water aggression. He is approximately 3 years old and 50 lbs and is crate and potty trained. He would do best in a home without small dogs or cats, as our foster says he is overly interested in them. He has met and done well with children as well. Blaze also walks well on leash.

He does dig, but has not tried to dig under or jump over the fence.
Blaze is vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $300.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).

To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.

Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.

Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
