Mimsy! Magical Mimsy is a whimsical, silly, and playful little Chihuahua-Iggy mix. She is about 3 years old and 8 lbs.

If you are looking for an active little dog to explore the world, Mimsy is ideal for you. She loves walks and she loves playing with other little dogs. Ideally, Mimsy would trhive in a home with an active little dog. Just the other day, she had a little dog visit and Mimsy joyfully ran and chased her new BFF for hours! How fun for Mimsy and how fun for YOU!

Mimsy loves playing games with her foster dad and of course, she's enamored with him. She will chase a ball but has not mastered bringing it back just yet. But Mimsy is so smart that she'll figure it out!

Mimsy is also quite the cuddler and LOVES LOVES LOVES belly rubs. If you want a dog that makes you giggle every day then Mimsy is the dog for you!

Mimsy is spayed, housetrained, vaccinated, and microchipped. Mimsy does love her walks yet sometimes, she can be leash-reactive but we are teaching her to redirect her happy energy so lots of improvement.Mimsy can be a bit vocal so she might be a bit challenging in some apartment/condo living situations.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. To recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for MIMSY is $300.

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy foster to forever transition. The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home check, and an adoption donation. The adoption donation helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control, and other local shelters, through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs in a loving home until a forever loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes! You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes. All of our dogs are in foster care.
