Levi von Belle is an adorable 11 week old Shepherd mix puppy. This fun, sweet loving boy will not only steal your heart with his gorgeous eyes, but his loving spirit. He is very good about going out to potty, sleeps through the night happily in his crate with his brother, and knows his sit command. He is working on “come” and “stay” and is eager to learn them. He loves playing with his brother Milo, respects his boundaries with his foster senior sister dog, and loves playing ball with his 5 year-old human. Levi is adventurous, smart, and would do great in an active, fun loving home. While he would do well as a solo dog, it would be an added bonus adopting him with another active dog. He has always been around young children and is currently fostered in a home with a 2 and 5 year old.

Based on our experience, Westside's current thinking is to usually match first-time shepherd owners with a mix versus a purebred shepherd. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.

Adoption fees vary with each dog and typically range from $150 to $500. They are set, taking into account the dog's age, training level, temperament, if they’re newly arrived, medical condition(s) (if any) and other factors. Adoption fees are used not only to rescue and place the dog you are personally adopting, but to aid in the future rescue and rehabilitation of other deserving dogs. Adoption fees are necessary; without fees, our rescue efforts would quickly come to an end. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
