My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet beautiful Sonya. Named after Sonia Sotomayor, Sonya is a strongly opinionated gal who will make her thoughts known. She was living under a porch and being fed by a caring neighbor who asked EBCP to take her in prior to an extreme drop in outdoor temperatures. We thought that perhaps she might be pregnant due to a bulge in her belly, but, as it turns out, she had a nasty abscess. While under the vet's care, we found that she had already been fixed. She is now healthy and waiting for her forever friend.
Sonya has strong opinions! She would do best in a quiet home where she is the only four-legged pet. She will cuddle all day, but she needs her person to let her decide when and how to show affection. Her tail will give you clues to her mood--a beating tail means she is feeling overstimulated.
She likes: chasing cat teasers, sunbathing on a windowsill, and a good Netflix binge. She dislikes: loud noises, other cats, manicures

More about this rescue

The Euclid Beach Cat Project is a 501(c)(3), non profit rescue group. We take in, socialize, vet and adopt out cats and kittens, as well as trap-neuter-return (TNR) and manage feral colonies. There are so many homeless, abandoned and vulnerable cats and kittens needing homes, medical care and to be spayed/neutered. We try to help as many cats find a home as we can. If they are feral, we practice TNR and make sure either a caregiver or someone with this rescue continues to provide for them.
