This handsome one year old boy is Grizzly, an American Pit Bull mix surrendered on 3/29 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Reason stated for the surrender is that of financial hardship. Owner reports the following about Grizzly: he is OK with children and other dogs, he lived as an indoor dog, he likes to run and play outside, and he is house trained. He knows the sit and stop commands. During his photo session, we observed that Grizzly walks well on a leash. He chases balls, yet does not return them. He likes treats and takes them nicely. He is friendly and affectionate and enjoys being with people. He was perfectly fine with receiving loving attention. He climbed up on the play equipment. Grizzly would seem best suited for an family that would offer him daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment. He would seem best suited for a person or family with an active lifestyle that would invest daily time playing with him, exercising him and providing enrichment. He would doubtless be willing to learn some new commands. Grizzly has enjoyed living the good life inside and would like to continue with that. He would certainly become a devoted and loving family pet.
