Derby is a great pup. He likes to play and explore like most puppies do. Derby has pretty active bursts of playfulness. As with all puppies training will be a must with this little guy. Training is the only way to prevent undesirable behaviors. Derby will need a lot of socialization. The more people of all ages he can meet the better. Interactions with people of all ages and with other animals is a key component to helping Derby develop into the best canine citizen.

Homes with children over the age of five are preferred. His baby teeth are razor sharp and can unintentionally hurt the tender fingers and toes of smaller children.

Derby's adoption fee is $550, which includes vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations and tests, microchip, and spay or neuter. Please note we only accept cash or checks-no credit cards.

The applicant must fill out a detailed adoption application (it is on our website), then is screened by an experienced volunteer. We charge adoption fees that are comparable to those of similar organizations in our area. The adoptive home must agree to and initial a list of regulations as well as complete a formal contract.

We hold public adoptions twice per month, and are often able to meet prospective families outside the events if need be.

All Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster home based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter and do not have any paid staff. Our dogs live in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their new forever homes. We offer a lifetime commitment to the dogs in our program. All of our dogs receive comprehensive vet work prior to adoption, including exam, vaccinations, microchip, HW/Lyme's test, fecal exam, and all are spayed and/or neutered. We do it because we love dogs, and with 4 million animals being euthanized every year in shelters around the country, the numbers of dogs needing our help is endless.
