Hi, I'm Guera, and I'm the sweetest and most gentle companion you could ever want.

I can be a little shy when I'm meeting new people and figuring out new situations. I love to be around people, but I may retreat to my bed until I have a good read on the situation. Once I'm comfortable, I show my goofy and silly side. I like to dance, prance, and be close to my people for back scratches. I can be left alone at home, but I'm always so excited to see you come back!

Although I've clearly been through a lot of change and upheaval in my 8 years, I'm a trusting and courageous soul. I stumbled a bit while getting used to the steps in my foster home, but I kept going up and down until I mastered them. I'm determined!

I'm what people might call an "easy" dog: I'm housetrained, I have no resource guarding issues, I allow you to brush my fur and clip my nails to keep me looking beautiful, and I love to accept treats.

I'm very curious and like to do food puzzles and quietly watch the wildlife in the backyard. I got along well with dogs at the shelter, and did well in my cat test. I'm pretty low energy in the sense that I love to just chill and be close to you, but I can be active and agile when it's adventure time!

We have an application process. All applications are subject to reference checks, home checks. All adopters are required to sign an adoption contract and must adhere to requirements stated in this contract, and follow ups are done post adoption. Please contact us about adoption fees. Our rescue is solely run by volunteers, we strive to return calls and inquiries within a 24 hour period.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers trying to help local and international rescuers who desperately need help to rehome their dogs. It started as a fundraising effort to help them with vet costs and food so they could help more strays on the street. However, rescue is not complete without a forever home and they were overwhelmed with so many dogs and no homes to send them to. There are so many sweet, loving and friendly dogs and along with fundraising, we hope to find homes for their dogs so they can continue to help more.
