My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Liberty, KY

Trooper is approximately one year old neutered male who has had a hard run at life. He was born to a breeder who was going to have him euthanized because he was born with a deformed leg. ACDRA saved him and took him in where he had his leg amputated. He was then adopted but unfortunately it did not work out because the adopter decided to take a job that caused him to travel from home full time. Trooper came back to his original foster home where he has had time to decompress and now he is ready to find a family who will love him forever.
Trooper is a true puppy at one year old and will need continue training. He loves to play with toys and can be toy possessive. But will play all day. He loves water! He does get along with other dogs but likes to play hard. He does fine with cats. He walks ok on a leash but likes to walk in front of you. He does fine in the car. He is house trained if kept on a strict schedule. He is crate trained. He is really a fun boy and will keep you entertained all day long. Trooper is being fostered in Liberty, Kentucky. If your’e interested or want more information on Trooper contact his foster home at Cutecowgirlnc@yahoo.com

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.
