Meet Eli, this handsome guy was brought in as a stray after a nasty run in with a vehicle. He had surgery on his back leg and is recovering very well. Eli has no issues getting around and is using both legs.
Eli is potty trained; he has had no accidents in my house since he arrived. He is crate trained and enjoys some quiet time in his crate. He has been the perfect gentleman. He walks well on a leash, loves playing and car rides, but needs to keep the craziness to a minimum as he continues to heal.
Eli appears completely deaf. He doesn’t let that slow him down as he loves to meet new people and animals. He would like a family with another dog he could hang with and follow around to help him with his lack of hearing. He can get a little mouthy when he gets super excited playing with you, so having breed understanding and skills would be helpful to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Eli loves toys and snuggling with you and is great on a leash. We are working on our sign language and he is progressing well, he is very food motivated and happy to please!
Eli is barely over 1 year old and is 40 lbs. He is microchipped and is up to date on all his vaccinations and preventatives. He is being fostered in Jessup, MD and is looking for his forever family. Reach out to johan.stewart@gmail.com if you have any questions. Apply at https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application if you think Eli is the right guy for you.
