This handsome boy is looking for a home where he can enjoy the rest of his life. At 8 years old he still has so much life left, but he’s also slowing down just a bit. Acadia unfortunately found his way to us after his owner added a new cat, knowing that Acadia was not cat compatible. We are so sad for him, but we know that he has a future with someone who will love him like he deserves. He is a goofy guy and a typical husky. He can be aloof, but also has no problem requesting attention when he wants it. He loves to bounce around with you in excitement when he comes out of his crate in the morning, sometimes doing a little happy howl too.
Acadia has done well with female dogs, and does get along with more laid back, males. He also is content being solo. Acadia loves to explore, go on walks, and just enjoy your company. Thankfully he has not been one to be an escape artist, and has respected his foster home's fencing (both chainlink and privacy fence). He is potty trained, fully vetted, and ready to go home. His adoption fee has been sponsored.

All adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. All medical concerns are addressed prior to adoption including emergency care needed, chronic health conditions, dental care, and various other concerns.

All Animals are in private foster homes, we do not have a facility with visiting hours. Out of respect and safety for our foster families, Meet and greets are only scheduled after an application has been approved. There are no exceptions. We do occasionally participate in adoption events locally and will bring our adoptable dogs to these events. we do not do same day adoptions in those situations.
