Dixie is a gentle, shy kitty who came to the refuge in 2020. At first, we thought Dixie might be semi-feral, but with time she has become more comfortable around people and will allow gentle pets from those who take time to visit her often and build trust with her. Dixie would love nothing more than a safe, stable home to call her own, preferably without dogs or small children (she seems fine around other low key, easy going cats).

More about this rescue
Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
