My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Remy!

This handsome pup came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where he wasn't fairing well in a shelter environment. Now in a loving foster home, Remy is thriving!

Remy may be the happiest pup around, he's friendly with just about everyone he meets! He loves other dogs and would love to find a home with another playful pup to keep him company! He thoroughly enjoys the simplest things in life like nice car rides, treats, more treats, and also treats. Did we mention he is very treat-motivated?

Remy would be a great pup for avid runners or hikers, he's an agile and fast boy. Remy will require a home with a fenced yard (no less than 6') as he is quite the jumper! Those little legs of his pack quite the punch and he can clear a fence with ease, so it's important for potential adopters to provide supervision!

While he loves dogs, it is unknown how he will do around cats as he has yet to be introduced. Any resident animals in the home should be introduced to Remy slowly over time. Adult adopters or families with children over the age of six who can be home with him throughout the day to continue positive socialization!

Remy is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be schedule once an application has been received, and approved. Please complete an onlline application located at animalfriendsrescue.org.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
