My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Monica!

This petite girl came into our program pregnant after a local trapper brought her in! Now, she's learning the life of a house-kitty and all the comforts that come along with it!

Monica thrives off of human companionship, spending her days at the AFRP office and her nights snuggled up in cozy blankets at home. She enjoys sitting on the desks and managing office duties, often keeping an eye out and 'guarding' the door to make sure those who enter pass the "Monica Security Clearance". She is a very active girl who loves to zoom around anywhere she has the space and is as playful as can be! It's important to understand that she is a rough-kitty and her play style shows it!

Monica would prefer adult adopters, or families with cat-savvy children over the age of 15 at this time who are able to understand any boundaries she sets as well as be home with her throughout the day to continue positive socialization. She is working hard on socializing with animals, but at this time is likely not a cat who will cuddle up to any resident animals in the home. She may be able to coexist in a home with other animals, but it will take time for her to become comfortable.

Monica is currently in foster care. A meet and greet can be schedule once an application has been received, and approved. Please complete an onlline application located at animalfriendsrescue.org.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
