My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Redd (Gomez on his vet records) came to us as a stray dog on Halloween. He is a WONDERFULLY sweet dog, who loves playing with other dogs. To give you an idea of how great his temperament is, he is often used as the temperament-testing dog for the rescue. We are only considering homes for him that have other playful dogs.

Redd is potty trained and crate trained, although does occasionally whine when crated. He loves to cuddle. His main flaw is that he is a chewer, and hasn't get grown out of the puppy nibbling stage.

Redd is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and HW negative. He is 65 lbs and approximately 1.5 - 2 years old.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).

To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.

Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.

Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
