My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruger is now ready for adoption! While we don't know his exact mix, we do know that he is going to be a large dog. He is approx 4 - 5 months old and 36 lbs. We are looking for a home where he can be with another dog. Dog-savvy cats are okay, as well. He will need to have a home with a yard, and he likely has some type of hound and guardian breeds in him, so socialization, mental stimulation, and training must be a priority. He is almost 100% potty trained, and he LOVES to please his owner. Ruger is an intelligent dog and will be a great addition to a family that meets these requirements.

Ruger has received rabies and bordetella vaccines, two rounds of 5-in-1 vaccines (3rd booster due 3/18), heartworm prevention, neuter, microchip, flea prevention, and dewormer. His adoption fee is $400.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).

To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.

Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. Please call us to make an appointment to meet one of our adoptable animals.

More about this rescue

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.

Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
