Hi, I’m Bowie. I’m an almost two-year old sleek hunk of handsomeness, and I’m the sweetest boy. I want to rub against everyone I meet and smell their shoes and get good “scritches” on my back and near my tail. I also enjoy being rubbed on my chin and neck, so much that I get blissed out and fall down sometimes! I can be super mellow, though I’ve been known to jump up on my cat tower and play hide and seek in the cubbies
Wave a toy around under my nose, and I’ll pounce on it when I’m in the mood. I enjoy wand toys and if you want to drag them through my kitty tube, that’s even better. I do a funny head wiggle sometimes when the door to my room is opened, because I really want to explore and then come back and report out to you. After some general antics, I might also give you a certain look I’ve perfected. It’s the look of a house panther who is sizing up a human, rating him or her for overall snuggle capacity. You’ll notice my left eye is a little cloudy. It’s been that way since I was born. I don’t mind it and I hope you don’t either. I like to gaze out the windows and imagine I’m chasing the birds, though I don’t think I’ll mess with the geese. I’m not a small cat, but that is a lot of bird to handle! I’ll stick with fuzzy mice and balls and as I already mentioned, those wand things are cool too.
But wait, someone is trying to take my picture and they are using their hands...which should be petting my silky black fur. I’m not exactly demanding, though the term “needy sweetie” is not too far from true. I would be a great work from home buddy or TV time companion. I just want to be with and near people. I do need to eat a special urinary tract diet, and I can’t have treats. That’s to make sure I stay healthy. I don't mind and actually like the special food quite well. I use the litter box just fine and I appreciate my drinking fountain. I’m actually good about not splashing in it and making a mess!
I would do best in a home with someone who is committed to loving a cat who needs a little extra attention and doesn’t mind buying the fancier/more expensive food. I’ve lived with other cats and like them fine; I currently have a roommate and we get along well. However, it might be best if I’m an only cat to make sure I don’t accidentally eat the wrong food. Or maybe you already have a cat on a special urinary diet looking for a buddy? If you’re not busy this week, maybe come over and meet me and we’ll hang out!
