My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Wilhemina. Yes, it’s a long name, and it’s fancy and formal, but you can call me Willie or Mina. I’m a 2 ½ year old girl with a white locket at my neck, and the rest of me is smooth black silkiness. Initially, I like to hang out on my cat tower and observe you from the highest perch, trying to figure out if you are my kind of people. It seems like I’m shy, when actually, I’m just smart enough and experienced enough to take my time and get the measure of a man, so to speak.

Once I decide you're my kind of person, I’m all in! Bring out a laser pointer and you won’t recognize my quiet pose from minutes before. I become a blur of motion. Have you heard of parkour? You know that athletic training where people run up a wall part way and then jump off another wall and then back flip onto a ramp and then keep running? Yes, really. I’m that level crazy about a laser pointer dot and beware anyone in my way!

I also like quiet time, and being petted and loved. I appreciate sunshine and birdsong, and am content with a comfy bed in a warm sunspot near a window where I can enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors. I would be happy to be your work from home buddy and just hang out with you when you are busy. When you need a break, I would enjoy some petting and affection, or perhaps some playtime with a wand toy or that very fascinating laser pointer!

I also get along well with other welcoming cats or kittens, especially my sister, Winky. If you have room for two kitties, we would make a great pair. I will need a little more time to adjust and let my sweet personality shine than my sister. I won’t run up and get on your lap or rub against your legs the first time we meet. But I will be a faithful and loving companion and in no time, and you'll be counting on my companionship and gentle ways to brighten your day. ?

Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! More about this rescue

Feral Fixers is dedicated to the Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR) of feral cats within DuPage county. As part of our mission, we also rescue friendly cats and kittens that have been abandoned outside. We socialize and provide medical care to these kitties in our foster homes, and then make them available for adoption.
