My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Adobe! I’m a black and white tuxedo boy cat, all dressed up and ready to play. I’m two years old and a gentle giant at 14+ pounds. There’s a lot of me to love! I can truly say, “I’m not fat, I’m just big boned.” I might take a few days to warm up to a new place. Give me a safe space to chill until I’m ready to explore.

Once I settle in, my personality will shine. I love food and I will greet you with purrs and meows and legs rubs when you bring me my meals. If you sit with me I’ll be on and off your lap for vigorous rounds of petting and chin rubs. You got me purring again! (My purr is so big it sometimes makes me sneeze.) And here’s a secret…I really like to have my tummy rubbed.

Is it playtime? I have lots of energy and love to play. My favorite toy is the wand with a feather on the end of a string. I will chase and catch, chase and catch! I also love climbing up a cat tree, it’s my favorite place to scratch my claws.

I would be happy in a home with another feline or on my own as a single cat, as long as I have a human to love! I was introduced to dogs when I was a kitten, but haven't lived with one in a while, so I would be open to meeting one, if they are gentle and cat-friendly. I will be the purrfect cat for you, if you will be the purrfect human for me!
Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV negative. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! More about this rescue

Feral Fixers is dedicated to the Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR) of feral cats within DuPage county. As part of our mission, we also rescue friendly cats and kittens that have been abandoned outside. We socialize and provide medical care to these kitties in our foster homes, and then make them available for adoption.
